Colliersmith & Associates, P.C. is a small firm that practices only in the area of consumer bankruptcy. In order to best serve our clients and give each client the individual attention each case deserves, we limit our practice to this area of the law. As a small firm we are able to give you the personal and individual attention that larger firms may not give you. We make every effort to make ourselves available to our clients and to provide them prompt and courteous service in response to their questions and concerns.

There are many reasons why a bankruptcy may be filed. Unforseen circumstances such as a loss of job, injury or illness, divorce or separation may take such a toll on persons that bankruptcy may be the only reasonable option left. Sometimes the gradual accumulation of debt with increasing interest rates and fees seems to be insurmountable. Many of our clients find themselves in situations in which they need relief from the non-ending telephone calls, letters, lawsuits, and general creditor harassment. Often our clients are about to lose their property to foreclosure and repossession notwithstanding their best efforts to work something out with their creditors. Creditors are often insulting, uncaring and obnoxious when they are trying to take money from you. We understand this. We can and will stop the harassment from these creditors in a professional and thorough manner.
